So you wanna up your hoe game, but also everything is impossible and you want to die? This is the post for you!


1. Embrace the shittiness. Don’t accept it, strive for recovery, but embrace your limitations because self-love is a core value of successful hoeing. 

2. You want to look hot as fuck but also you can’t wash yourself because basic hygiene is TOO HARD RIGHT NOW. Invest in mamma’s little helpers: dry shampoo and face wipes (broke ho version: baking soda and baby-wipes). You can do your hair and wash your face in like .2 seconds. You can even do it in bed. Amazing.

If doing your hair is NOT going to happen today: just throw that shit in a. a bun b. a side braid. There ya go. Rotate as needed and throw in a bandanna or headband every now and then. Nobody knows you are dying inside.

3. Your look needs to be on point but you are currently a gutter trash animal inside. Don’t even worry! Get yourself some trusty black leggings, comfy sweaters, and large boots. Sleep in these leggings and sweaters. Wake up. Put feet in large boots. Outfit sorted. The large boots are key, because a. they hide your mismatched/dirty/missing socks, b. they pull the outfit together. This can actually look super on-purpose with pretty much any style. In the summer time, sleep in your undies and then pull of a comfy dress and boots. You can do this pretty much every single day by spicing things up with a scarf or cardigan or what have you and no one really notices.

4. You need to be on that eating shit, because an unhealthy ho is an unhappy ho. When I’m doing well, I cook all sorts of yummy healthy stuff. But when I get depressed my brain is like, “Um, no.” I’ve learned the safest bet for me is to buy food that I will actually eat and ignore what your grocery bag is “supposed” to look like. There have been month long periods where all I buy is cereal and popcorn. I supplement with fruit and salads when I can. That’s okay, just feed yourself. My best ho tip is to stock up on granola bars that you like. I got through three months of this semester by eating a Clif or Laura bar for every meal during my classes/bus/in bed. Its cheap and its easy and it means you aren’t skipping meals.

Also, buy a water bottle and drink out of it as much as humanly possible.

5. Take your birth control, anti-depressants, vitamins, and whatever else at the same time every night. Put then on your nightstand next to a large jar of m&m’s. Take the pills, eat some m&m’s, have an easier time sleeping knowing that your basic health needs are taken care of.

This L'oreal true Match liquid foundation has not budged in 10 hours. And I didn’t use primer.

Normally foundation starts sliding off my face after 6-7 hours. But nope, most of my face is looking semi matte with a slight dewy glow where I put my highlight. It looks even better than when I first applied it. HOW?!?!!

4) Coconuts. Coconut oil and coconut water are LIFE SAVERS. Coconut water, look idk the science about it to be quite honest with U. But i promise it makes a difference. Sooooo I think I have found my absolute favourite weekly/ twice weekly routine and I’m SUPER excited!!

((The first step is for my people with vaginas because it helps to balance out your pH levels))

- Run a small amount of hot water into your tub.. just up to your waist I’d say.. and add in some Apple Cider Vinegar (I’d say maybe 2tbsp). It smells absolutely disgusting but TRUST ME it helps a lot if you’re feeling a bit off down there. 

- Mix some coconut oil and white/ brown sugar into a bowl while you’re waiting for the water. Put some coconut oil on the tips of your hair and put your hair up while you get in the tub.

- Sit in the water until it gets luke warm and then place a towel on the side of your tub and sit on it. Use your coconut oil + sugar mixture to exfoliate your legs/ anywhere else you think needs exfoliating (i.e elbows, stomach area, etc.) If you have a vagina please DO NOT put this mixture anywhere in, on, or near it. Again, if you have crusty ass feet, you’ll need to give some extra love when exfoliating and maybe use a foot file on your heels. Once you’re feeling smooth, get a wash cloth and use the water still in the bath to wipe off.

- Now your legs should feel very smooth and oily because of the mixture, so you won’t need to put anything extra on them when you go to shave. Using a “men’s” razor works 100x better than “women’s” razors and helps you get a closer shave. Coconut oil builds up in and dulls razors so you will only get about 1-2 good uses out of your razor unless you clean it very thoroughly afterwards. I really recommend waxing pubic areas because the hair grows back so slow, but if you’re shaving just make sure that you use plain coconut oil and shave DOWN to prevent ingrowns. ALSO if you plan on having sex then you need to THOROUGHLY wash your business after you shave because OILS OF ANY KIND DETERIORATE CONDOMS AND CAN LEAD TO BREAKS OR TEARS. Please be safe.

- Empty the water and rinse out the tub so there is no hair/ left over oil and turn on your shower. Shampoo your hair root to tip to get the excess coconut oil out and massage your scalp well to get the circulation going (promotes hair growth). Put conditioner on your tips and leave it for about 2+ minutes. While the conditioner is in put some body wash on a wash cloth and wash off all the oil and dirt from your body. If you have a vagina, wait until all the soap is rinsed off of you and then thoroughly (BUT GENTLY) wash your vulva either with your fingers or another wash cloth that has no soap on it. If you still feel like you need to use soap just make sure it’s as natural as possible and UNSCENTED. 

- Dry off and lotion your body, I use cocoa butter because it makes me smell like an island goddess but whatever lotion you like to use works (I also recommend Aveeno but they are a bit expensive).

- Keep an old tooth brush handy and put some of your left over coconut oil + sugar mixture on it and scrub your lips to get all the dead and dry skin off. The only thing worse than scaly lips while getting freaky is bad breath so brush your teeth as well if you haven’t already lmao. Massage aloe vera into your scalp and apply A SMALL AMOUNT of argon oil  (coconut oil/ jojoba oil/ olive oil also work) to your tips. Aloe Vera has actually made my hair grow so fast it’s unbelievable. Dry/ Style your hair as usual.


If this does not make your body feel like the Lord’s Good Grace then some personalizing will have to occur, but this was probably the greatest I’ve ever felt after taking care of my skin/ hair!! Regardless of the products you’re using, following the pattern of soaking, exfoliating, shaving, washing, and lotioning will leave you feeling great!

• drink. your. green. tea!!!! 🍵 i cannot stress this enough! it cleanses bad toxins out of your body, eliminates unneeded bacteria, promotes faster metabolism, and can also promote growth for hair. get at least 1 cup in when you have the time 💧

• change your scarves and pillowcases out if they are cotton. cotton makes the hair brittle and dry and recycles bacteria and dirt into the pores of your face. ❌ using soft fabric like silk and satin will be more gentle on your hair. also, wash your pillowcase every week! avoid all the bad stuff and wallow in the clear. 🌟🌟🌟

• get your protein treatments, ASAP. it cleanses your hair while deep conditioning it and clarifying it of product build-up and leaves your tresses soft and smooth. whip up an egg and 3 tbsps raw plain yogurt mix and massage it into your hair. wash out the egg with cold water after, if not , it will fry inside your hair under heat or with hot water! leave it in for 20 minutes under a heat source, rinse, and then continue on with your shampoo routine ✨✨👸💆

- Always keep sweats, comfy shoes, makeup wipes, condoms, gum, a phone charger, a hair brush, and taxi fare in your purse/car.

- Wipe front to back

- Don’t use body washes or scrubs when cleaning your downstairs area. A little water goes a long way. Make sure to wash all around the vulva and gently get around your clitoris. USING YOUR FINGERS TO WASH IS BEST. Your vagina and vulva have natural bacteria and oils that are disrupted if you use soaps and sprays/ if you wash too harshly or excessively. They are delicate little things.

- SOAPS ALSO CAUSE VAGINAL DRYNESS

- DO NOT USE DOUCHES ever ever ever!!!

- Always pee after sex to prevent UTIs

- Coconut oil can be used for just about anything: shaving cream, moisturizer, lip balm, deep conditioner, cooking, insect repellent, makeup remover.. the list goes on. Get unrefined virgin coconut oil and you’ll smell and feel great. A little goes a long way so don’t over do it.

- EXFOLIATE at least once a week. You can buy an exfoliator at any drug store but I like to make my own but DO NOT use on your lady bits.

***1/2c coffee grinds, 2-3tbsp coconut oil, sea salt

***1 1/4c white sugar, 1/2c olive oil, 3tbsp lemon juice (good for legs, DON’T USE ON FACE OR VAGINA)

- DON’T EVER use sugar on, in, or around your vagina and try to avoid using brown sugar or hard scrubs on your face

- You can experiment a lot with your bath water and different things you can put in it. I just found some really great recipes for detox baths:

***1c ground up oatmeal, 1c epsom salts, 2tbsp lavender buds.. Mix all the ingredients and add 2-3 spoonfuls to your bath water

***1c epsom salts, ½ baking soda, 10 drops of essential oils

***1-2c milk, ½ pure honey

***Add 6-10 green tea bags to your bath water

- Essential oils in a bath are great…. Just some examples and benefits: Lavender is calming, Grapefruit is energizing, Peppermint helps with fatigue, Chamomile and Rosemary help with headaches and are also calming.

- YONI OIL by Goddess Body is amazing. It helps restore the balance of your yoni aka vagina and it is also antibacterial!!! Be careful if you’re buying from a different brand because different brands have different mixtures and some aren’t very good for you.

- THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! Oils and oil based products break down the material in condoms which causes breaks or tears!!!!! If you plan on gettin some please do not put oils around your vagina for your own safety!!!!!!

- Face masks are great for skin health and relaxation. Some of my favourite recipes are:

***1 banana and 1tbsp honey

***Plain yogurt

***1tbsp honey and 1/2tsp each of cinnamon and nutmeg (doubles as a sweetener for Chai tea)

- Shave downward or diagonally when shaving your bikini line. USE MENS’ RAZORS. Pat dry with a cold face cloth immediately after shaving to close pores and use a non-scented lotion to prevent irritation and razor bumps.

- If you have crusty ass feet exfoliate them in the bath, pat dry then use Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream and put on socks right after. If they’re really bad, put this cream on before bed and sleep with socks on. This is especially good during cold weather.

- Make sure to moisturize every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- When washing your hair; shampoo your roots and condition your tips.

- Don’t go to bed with you hair wet. Rub coconut oil into your scalp and brush it out before bed, wash in the morning.

- Massage your scalp with aloe vera for at least 30 seconds before you go to bed/ before you wash your hair to promote hair growth. 

- The more you touch and pick at acne the more oily your face will get.

- Dilute 1tsp of apple cider vinegar in 1c of water for a natural facial toner.

- Try to reduce your sugar intake to prevent acne and yeast infections.

- Cranberry juice works better than pineapple juice. Drink lots of this and AT LEAST 2L of water a day to keep your body healthy.

- Green/ Black tea, fruits, veggies, yogurt, and WATER all support good vaginal health and just overall body health.

- KALE IS A GOD SEND. It tastes better than spinach and you can put it in a smoothie, mix it in with your salad, bake and season it for kale chips, or just eat it as is. It’s extremely high in iron which is good if you’re anemic and get light-headed/dizzy during your time of the month. 

- Eating healthy promotes good mental health as well as physical health so keep your brain healthy too!!

If you’re needing a day to yourself, run a bath and add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. Get a face cloth and wash yourself all over just with the bath water, especially your bizness. Apple Cider vinegar helps to restore your pH balance to keep you fresh and clean. Shave with coconut oil, exfoliate, then shave again to get all the dead skin off your legs. Scrub the dead skin off your feet and knees and elbows. Empty and rinse the tub and fill it back up with some oils or bath mixes of your choosing. Make yourself a tea or have some water near the tub. Put on a face mask and play some music or read a book or watch a show on Netflix and relax until the water is warm. Drain the water and rinse off quickly with cool water to get all the toxins and oils off your body. As soon as you get out, pat dry and lotion yourself, put on socks or slippers to keep your feet clean and then get into comfy clothes. Wear cotton underwear if you have them because they help get air to your bizzness.

  • Lollia Perfumed Shower Gel - All of their scents smell amazing and they leave behind a muted scent. Plus, it’s very thick so a little bit goes a long way. Seriously, a quarter sized dollop is enough to get foamy suds over your entire body!
  • Lollia Hand Creme - Will give you the smoothest, softest hands ever. Especially important for touching wieners. 
  • Intimore Intimate Wash - My favorite wash for cleaning the vag. ALL of their varieties are safe for sensitive skin and they have great uses. The Therapeutic wash is great if you’ve been fucked raw. Very soothing!
  • Lush Sugar Scrub - Great for exfoliating, it leaves your skin very bright and radiant and it is supposed to reduce the appearance of cellulite!
  • Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Extreme Pads - I use these to get rid of weird bumps or razor burn on my legs after shaving. Will literally clear up those weird clear bumps that aren’t quite whiteheads or pimples. 
  • Kiehl’s Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter - Will leave your entire body smoother than a baby’s butt and the scent is very light. Super hydrating. I use this every night after a hot bath. I also use this to moisturize my cooch. YES, YOU CAN AND SHOULD MOISTURIZE YOUR COOCH. It’s okay! Try it!
  • Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - It’s like foundation for your legs! It comes in either a squeeze bottle or mist. I use the squeeze bottle more because the mist WILL STAIN your bathroom tile or toilet, if you prop your leg on it to spray. 
  • St. Tropez Express Bronzing Mousse with Mitt - I used this for the first time last night because my spray tan was wearing off. It gives a really natural tan and you only have to leave it on 1-3 hours, depending on how dark you want to go, before rinsing! I left mine on for a little less than two hours and I have a nice, NATURAL looking tan glow!

I’m a light ashy blonde with frizzy, unmanageable hair. Here are my top picks for products. 

  • Batiste Dry Shampoo - Absolute BEST dry shampoo and it’s super affordable. Very fine powder. It comes in a bunch of varities, I like the sleek and shine the most. 
  • AG Hair Cosmetics Sterling Silver Shampoo - Great purple shampoo for blondes. 
  • Davines Alchemic Conditioner - They have different formulas for different hair colors. I use the purple conditioner for blondes and it’s a great purple mask that tones and deep conditions. 
  • Kerastase Shampoo & Conditioner - Comes in a ton of varities. I use the ones for damaged hair and frizzy hair. BEST shampoo and conditioners I have ever used. It doesn’t take much product and every product does what it says it will. 
  • Kerastase Fluidissime Blow Dry Spray - For frizzy or curly hair. It gives heat protection, shine and smoothness. I use this when I want my hair to be super straight or I want to style it after blow drying. 
  • Kerastase L’ncroyable Blow Dry - Most amazing blow dry lotion ever. Seriously. Now my most used product. 
  • Kerastase Ciment Thermique - Protecting blow dry lotion for damaged/colored hair. 
  • Davines Melu Serum - For disguising split ends. Also adds shine. 
  • Davines Minu Mask - Illuminating hair mask used to add back shine and dimension
  • Carol’s Daughter Monoi Mask - Great for softness and hydration. Smells amazing. Probably my favorite mask. 
  • Kerastase Masqueintense - Second favorite hair mask. It’s ultra smoothing and revitalizes your hair. 
  • Kerastase Elixir Ultime - Great hair oil! Lighter than Morrocanoil with the same benefits, though the smell isn’t as nice.

  • Glamglow Supercleanse - My favorite cleanser ever. It’s a mud-oil dual pump and it takes off every BIT of make up and keeps your skin super clear! Plus, it’s not drying!
  • Peter Thomas Roth BHA 2% Acne Wash - For if I feel a breakout coming on. One bottle will likely last you over a year. 
  • Peter Thomas Roth Blemish Buffing Beads - Great for body acne.
  • Glamglow Fizzy Lip - Great exfoliating lip scrub, plus you get twice as much product as most other lip scrubs. 
  • Glamglow Wet Lip - Intense softening lip treatment. You should definitely be using both of these to get seductive, soft, kissable lips! 
  • Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil - I use this at night before bed. It’s anti-aging, moisturizing, clarifying, fights wrinkles and reduces pore size. 
  • Sunday Riley Good Genes Serum - I use this in the morning and it makes my skin look superb. Best skin product I’ve ever had. It brightens, exfoliates, gives radiance and evens out hyperpigmentation. 
  • Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase - I use this serum as my moisturizer and it keeps my skin super nourished! It doesn’t clog up your pores and hydrates your dry areas. Definitely the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.

• if you have sensitive skin, avoid foaming cleansers that act as astringets!! lemon and witch hazel cleansers are going to tear your shit up and leave your skin thinner and fucked. go with aloe and natural ingredients for better results, no problemo bih 👊

• that drink 8 cups or 64oz don’t work for me. makes a bitch too damn full!! work your way from soda and sugary drinks like juice and take it step by step. but let’s be honest, everyone drinks it, so don’t beat yourself up about it, drink what you want. if you aim to decrease the amount of soda/juice, always go back to the basics: a big ol’ cup of water. consume the amount of water that goes hand in hand with your weight, not just out of the blue 5-6 cups. a good alternative is putting fruit in your water if you don’t like the taste. or, you can always flavor it! 🌟

• don’t go too all out on those lip scrubs! if you do it too often, such as four times a week, your lips are going to get drier, crustier, and feel stripped and thin. we’ve all been there! exfoliate 1-2x a week to avoid this. however, chapstick does the job too 💋

• mix avocado oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, and aloe vera gel and dilute the oils with water and pour it into a spray bottle. this is crucial as a detangler and a boost to the hair. makes it all soft and shit 👏 unfortunately, it’s a bit pricey, so you can always look for sales or discounts online!

• rose hip oil softens lips 💞

• lips are what everybody looks at. do you want them looking chapped asf?! invest in a lip mask. slather on organic manuka honey that is unrefined for 10 minutes, and then wash off with warm water or a washcloth👍

• dandelion root tea is a good substitute for coffee, but coffee’s good too, so just indulge in both!☕

• most of us stay up long into the mornings, which probably makes us wake up with dark circles and eye bags. don’t fret! to nix puffiness, dampen a washcloth with ice cold water and leave it on your eyes and under them for 3-5 minutes. if this is in morning, it can also help you wake up! if you’re looking to treat yourself, invest in some eye patches! 👼

• rose water is a GREAT toner! once you dab it on your face with a cotton ball, you immediately feel refreshed and ready to start your day 💪 teddie organics has a mist on sale for $10.88! it’s on amazon.

• applying sunscreen is essential to protect your skin from those nasty uv rays. but some forget their hair! if you get a sunburn on your scalp, it will hurt like HELL 🔥use spray sunscreen specialized for hair and slightly mist your hairline to avoid it. use a heat protectant like argan oil if you a broke hoe like me 💯 stack up!

on another note, don’t trust hair products with supposed uv filters. those only protect your hair color, not your actual hair!

• washing your hair, it’s better to wash it first with hot/warm water and then do the second wash with cold water to close up and seal moisture into the hair follicles! 4c hair especially needs this 👱

• hair products with OIL, PLASTICIZERS, and SILICONES will definitely clog your pores if they get on your skin and will leave your ass at square 1!! avoid that.

• yogurt and miso soup are probiotics that help fasten metabolism and hold moisture in your skin! 😇 that’s why yogurt face masks are bomb and every person should try them :)

• if you live in new york, atlanta, etc., you are bound to pollution. that’s why it’s always good to wash your face before bed to get rid of pollutant particles that will clog pores. afterwards, apply an antioxidant serum and a good moisturizer! lean towards products with white tea, green tea, and vitamin c to make the ultimate pore-cleansing mask! it’ll leave your skin feeling clean and make it glow 🌟🌟

• deep condition your hair 1-2 times a week or every two weeks!! it’s intense and has your hair feeling silky smooth. avocado, mayo, honey, sweet almond oil, and coconut oil mixture is my go-to, and my curls have blossomed! if you buy a deep conditioner from the store, make sure it’s water based and is sulfate free and paraben free (shea moisture and as i am are superb for beard cleansers as well!)👸💋

• go barefaced. prove to misogynistic assholes that makeup does not define a person’s beauty or attractiveness nor their personality. embrace your flaws and remain imperfect to society, because you are the one who knows that you are perfect 💋👏👏

• btw, honey ain’t shit if it’s not organic and raw. coconut oil ain’t shit for the hair or skin if it’s not unrefined, organic, and virgin (extra virgin is even better)! essential oil like tea tree oil that helps as acne treatments are skin-thinners if you don’t dilute them with water or a different substance. rose water ain’t shit if it’s not organic and 100% pure 😑😢 invest in your skincare/lifestyle! go online and dig for the right prices and take them before they’re all gone!
